Inkventory secures GHS 10,000 grant at the Innovation Challenge
We pitched against twenty startups, were judged on offline usability and merchant profitability, and came away with funding for the mobile apps and the Accra rollout.

At Inkventory we build software that helps West African businesses control inventory, manage customer credit and track revenue. Recently we brought the platform to the Innovation Challenge hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ghana Kasoa Stake.
Competing alongside twenty startups, our leadership team presented Inkventory's approach to the operational problems that run underneath retail and wholesale trade. The judging panel assessed the system on product functionality, offline usability and its direct effect on merchant profitability.
Following the pitch evaluations, Inkventory was awarded a GHS 10,000 grant.
Where the money goes
We are channelling the funding into software engineering and commercial expansion across three priority areas.
Mobile applications
Finishing the native iOS and Android apps, so a shop manager can watch live sales, inventory counts and branch figures from the phone already in their hand.
Desktop engine upgrades
Hardening the core desktop application to carry high transaction volumes offline and reconcile cleanly once the connection returns.
Market outreach
Growing the sales team across Accra to onboard retailers, train store staff and set up hardware on site.
Building practical tools for merchant operations is a matter of steady execution rather than a single push. Our thanks to the organisers and judges for backing the work as we scale.
